September 2019 Supporters Club News


The Broch recorded an emphatic 7-0 win at home to Strathspey Thistle in the Highland League. The Broch led 4-0 at half time via a great Grant Campbell goals and one each from Sean Butcher and Scott Barbour. 2 further goals from Scott Barbour which completed an impressive hat-trick and a Lewis Duncan strike completed the scoring.


The Broch bowed out of the Scottish Cup at the first hurdle with a 2-1 defeat to Sauchie Juniors. The Broch led 1-0 at the break via an early Gary Harris strike. The Broch had the chance to kill the game as a Sauchie player got his marching orders and a Broch penalty. Gary Harris saw his effort saved by the keeper and this in truth changed the course of the game. Within minutes Sauchie equalised and minutes after that they repeated the trick to turn the game on its head. We wish Sauchie all the best for the rest of the season.


The Broch recorded a fine 5-2 win away to Wick Academy at Harmsworth Park whish is usually a hard place to go and get a result. The Broch led 3-0 at half time with goals from Owen Cairns, Paul Young and Scott Barbour. Ryan Cowie added a 4th before Wick pulled 2 goals back before Gary Harris completed the scoring at the death.


The FFCSC AGM will take place on Wednesday the 15th of September at 7pm in the Elizabeathan.


The Broch bounced back from their Aberdeenshire Cup disappointment with a 4-0 win at home to Huntly. it was 2-0 at the break with goals coming from Sean Butcher and Paul Campbell before another Paul Campbell strike and one from Scott Barbour added gloss to the final scoreline.


The Brochs stranglehold on the Aberdeenshire Cup ended with a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Banks O Dee. The Dee led 1-0 at the break before Ryan Sargent equalised just after the hour mark but minutes later the away side grabbed a deserved winner to progress to the final.
