February 2017 Supporters Club News


The Broch earned a hard earned 2-0 win against Lossiemouth at Bellslea Park. After a goalless first half the Broch eased home with goals from Graham Johnston and Willie West to secure the 3 points and consolidate 2nd place in the Highland League. Yesterday also saw Paul Leask make a comeback in goal after an injury to Peter Tait in the first half.


The Broch and Buckie Thistle shared the spoils in a feisty Highland League encounter at Bellslea Park. After a goalless first half the game burst into life with the Broch taking the lead through Gary Harris but Buckie scored two quick goals in 4 minutes to lead 2-1. Gary Harris then had a penalty saved, however the Broch were not to be denied and got a second penalty with 3 minutes to go which was converted by Willie West before Buckie finished the game with 10 men.


The Broch recorded an emphatic 9-0 win at home to Fort William in the first round of the Highland League Cup. Paul Campbell netted a 5 minute hat-trick by netting in the 4th, 7th and 9th minute, he added a 4th goal sandwiched inbetween Aidan Combe's goal which made it 5-0 at half time. Half time substitute Andrew Hannar scored his first competetive goals for the Broch along with Kieran Simpson. Graham Johnston rounded off the scoring with a trademark free kick.


The Broch have been drawn to play Nairn County away in the Highland League cup. The tie will take place on the 10th of March.


The Broch recorded a fine 4-1 away to Deveronvale in the Highland League. The Broch trailed 1-0 early on but goals from Aidan Combe, Gary Harris, Willie West and Ryan Christie sealed the 3 points for the Broch.


The Broch bowed out of the Scottish Cup with a 3-0 defeat to Rangers at the Bellslea. The Broch gave a very good account of themselves and deserved all the plaudits from the fans at the end of the game.
